Compare solar quotes on a like-for-like basis

The desk compares up to three quotes you enter yourself. It keeps each quote's cash price, down payment, loan principal and loan terms separate so a financing total is never mistaken for the system price. Everything stays in this browser tab: nothing is uploaded, stored or sent anywhere. Outputs are arithmetic only. This page cannot estimate your roof's suitability, your electricity yield, current tax credits, future tariffs or guaranteed savings.

What the results assume, and what they leave out

  • Monthly payment uses the standard amortising formula on the loan principal you enter: P × r / (1 − (1 + r)−n), where r is APR divided by 100 and 12, and n is years times 12. A zero APR divides the principal by n instead.
  • Down payment plus every monthly payment gives the financing total. Interest is that total minus the principal. The down payment is counted once, and the cash price and loan principal are reported as separate figures, not added together.
  • Cash cost per watt DC is the cash price divided by the system size in watts (kW × 1,000).
  • No output estimates electricity production, bill savings, payback, incentives or tax credits of any current kind, future tariffs, roof suitability or completion dates. Those differ by household and by policy period and are not calculated here.
  • The example button fills clearly fictional figures so you can see how the table behaves. They are not a recommendation and describe no real installer or offer.
  • Your entries stay in this page's memory only. Nothing is sent to a server, stored, or placed in a URL, and the download is produced in the browser.
